On the 16th of December 2019, a solemn press conference was held, during which the Szigliget Theater in Oradea and the Regina Maria Theater could take in possession the modernized grand stage again.
The construction contract about the carrying out the works was signed on the19th of July 2019. The works are part of the project funded by the European Regional Development Fund under the Interreg V-A Romania-Hungary Program.
The public tender for the modernization of the main stage of the Oradea State Theater was won by the group of companies consisting of Drumasfalt Kft., Trameco RT and Energolux Impex Kft. The works scheduled for December 2019 also included the complete replacement of the stage decking, the development of the attendant and sound and lighting systems, the partial mechanization of the cord floor, and the purchase of sinks and a revolving stage.
The investment is actually a continuation and completion of the external and internal renovation project of the Oradea Theater building, which was completed in 2011, but the work carried out at that time did not affect the stage.
